Clay Chamberlain
I’ve worn a couple of different hats in the energy and investment world. I’ve been General Counsel, represented PE firms and banks, so I know the legal side of M&A and financing transactions. But I’ve also been an investor and represented investors in various stages of a businesses growth cycle, which gives me an owner's view on what makes a deal work. This dual perspective lets me bridge the gap between legal risks while also making sure the deal aligns with desired financial outcomes. I’ve been involved in equity and debt financings, joint ventures, and M&A deals, so I can navigate those complex structures and advise on current market practices.

Valerie Mitchell
I’m a seasoned energy executive with the ability to understand complex market challenges and transform them into profitable opportunities. As President of a closely-held E&P company, I currently steer operational and financial performance, securing capital and driving growth in a dynamic energy market. Previously, I founded a private-equity backed E&P company, leveraging private equity and credit markets to build a venture from scratch. My senior executive roles at public companies like Newfield Exploration (now Ovintiv) honed my skills in M&A and capital markets. I also serve on the Board of multiple companies in committee roles overseeing reserves, governance and audit. I bring this experience to help develop strategic focus, monitor market trends, identify and mitigate risks, and develop internal control systems. I have a passion and excel at evaluating deals, managing portfolios, and forecasting financials, with a sharp focus on risk management and prudent growth, all skills being deployed with members of the investment team and clients at Pure View.
